PageNest Pro Edition publisher's review |  PageNest Pro Edition - pageNest Pro can download your favorite web sites and pages to hard disk for you. It's built in browser can be used to view the sites whilst disconnected from the internet (eg whilst on a journey). Or you can just save copies before the sites disappear from the internet.
Use PageNest Pro to create an automatically updated 'nest' of the sites you read regularly. PageNest Pro can download sites at the dates and times you specify saving you time navigating around in your browser. The downloader will hunt down any new or updated pages.
Downloaded sites are displayed in a 'recent download' list from which you can browse the downloads or edit the site preferences. Next Site and Previous Site buttons make it quick and easy to move between sites.
PageNest Pro can automatically log in to sites which use either HTTP or forms based logins. You do not need to know which type the site uses - PageNest pro will detect which method the site is using for you.
PageNest Pro uses a fast multithreaded downloading engine which can download up to forty files at the same time. The number of threads can be adjusted whilst downloading. Version 3 uses a completely rewritten HTML parsing engine which is up to twice as fast as the previous version and much more flexible, allowing new features to be easily added.
Version 3 also adds support for CSS and cookies, enabling much better reproduction of downloaded sites. PageNest Pro can download sites using any type of file (asp, php, html etc) and make them browseable on your machine. All files are saved as standard html, jpeg, bmp etc files using the same folder structure as the original site so they can be viewed from any browser, or edited with website creation software.
Dial up users can specify automated connection and disconnection options. Options 'Dial protection' prevents your browser dialing an internet connection.
